Bob Waldrep

About (Biography)

Bob's family was originally from Georgia before moving to Birmingham, Alabama, where Bob was born and raised. After High School, Bob attended Jacksonville State University where he graduated in 1975 with a degree in Secondary Education, with an empahsis in social studies and art.

Rather that entering the field of education, after graduating Bob pursued a career in business; working for three years at the Birmingham Coca Cola Bottling Company. After this, Bob was employed for fifteen year in the insurance industry.

Throughout this time, he was active in his Church, serving in several leadership positions at Huffman Baptist Church and at the Church at Brook Hills. He also entered Birmingham Theological Seminary, graduating with a Masters in Religious Education.

Bob's interest in Christian apologetics would lead him to serve on the Board of a local ministry specializing in new religious movements. Eventually, Bob would become part of the staff, eventually serving more than eight years as the Alabama Director.

Bob became in much demand as a speaker and expert concerning religious movements. He also wrote numerous articles on this subject, coauthoring a book and contributing to two other books related to evangelism and apologetics.
